Two fire engines were called to a house fire near a station this evening.

No-one was injured in the blaze and every one had already left the house on Station Road by the time firefighters arrived just after 6pm.

Police closed part of the road while fire crews used breathing gear and hose reel jets to tackle the flames.

The fire was under control by 7pm.

The cause is not yet known.
