Firefighters were called to a gas leak in a home after the resident raised the alarm.

Crews were called at 3.40pm to Central Park Gardens in Chatham.

But on arrival the gas company was already present and managed to cap-off the supply in a cupboard.

A spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue said the incident was left in the hands of the gas board.
