Firefighters were called to Hoo after a barge caught fire.

Two crews were called to the house boat which is moored near Vicarage Lane, Hoo, just after noon.

The blaze, which is thought to have started in a wood burning stove, spread to insulation in a wall.

Firefighters cut the affected areas away to expose and extinguish hot spots.

There are no reported injuries.
