Fire crews called to blaze at family home in Robin Hood Lane, Walderslade, Chatham

Fire crews were called to the scene of a blaze at a family home in the early hours of this morning.

The bedroom fire in Robin Hood Lane, Walderslade, Chatham happened just after 2am.

Firefighters tackled the flames at the property for over an hour using hose reel jets and main jets.

When crews arrived, the family were outside of the house and one person was checked over by paramedics due to smoke inhalation.

They used a high-pressure fan to clear the property of smoke.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
