Thirty firefighters were called to a flat blaze in Chatham

Crews attended Melville Court just after midnight.

A chip pan is understood to have started a fire in a flat on the third floor.

There are no reports of any injuries and crews left just after 2am.

The rest of the building was evacuated while they dealt with the fire.
