A mum of two has been named as the first winner of a £1,000 prize from kmfm
Our sister radio station is giving out cash prizes to make your Christmas shopping easier this year.
It's hoped that the 'Cash for Christmas' money will help you, whether you haven't started your Christmas shopping yet, or the money will help take the pressure off and make the big day one of the best.
The first winner was Tracy Pinder in Chatham.
The mum of two, who works as a mobile beauty technician, said that the money would make "a big difference".
"You never expect that phone call," she said, "I was really shocked and thought it was someone pranking me, then I remembered I had sent that text in.
"The girls are already going on about what they want for Christmas.
"It’s really helpful, it’s been such a hard year. The first lockdown I couldn't work from March to July, and then this one has put me out for a month.
"My husband got made redundant in June after being furloughed and has luckily managed to get another job – it's definitely been a rollercoaster year."
There are still two more draws to enter, next Friday and the Friday after that.
Listeners are invited to enter via text or online and at 6pm a phone call is made on kmfm Drivetime with Rob Wills.
