Police, fire and ambulance called to five-car crash on M2 in Medway

Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to the M2 this afternoon after a five-car pile up in Medway.

Emergency teams received calls at 3.10pm of a multi-vehicle crash on the westbound carriageway between junctions 3 (Blue Bell Hill, Chatham) and 2 (Strood and Rochester).

According to the Highways Agency, motorists could expect delays of about 20 minutes as two lanes remained closed.

Normal conditions were expected to resume at 4.30pm.

Queues stretched back along Blue Bell Hill while investigations remained ongoing.
