One person had to be treated by paramedics after a flat fire.
Firefighters were called to Chatham High Street just before 2.30am today after reports a home was ablaze.
Three fire engines and a height vehicle were sent, and crews arrived to find the third-floor flat fully engulfed in flames.
Firefighters, wearing breathing apparatus, used hose reel jets and main jets to extinguish them.
One casualty was rescued from the property by firefighters before being treated at the scene for minor smoke inhalation by paramedics.
No further casualties were reported and the cause is still being investigated.
Fire crews left the scene just after 4.30am.
