They might not inherit their own kingdom or have the Queen of England as their great-granny, but 19 newborn babies have been getting their own royal treatment from proud parents.
Eight girls and 11 boys were born in Medway’s maternity wards on Monday and share their birthday with the future King of England.
Just five minutes after the Duchess of Cambridge gave birth, Davinder and Jaspal Bains, from High Halstow, welcomed their own bundle of joy into the world.
Their baby girl, who is yet to be named, weighed 6lb 12oz and was born at 4.29pm.
Davinder, 32, said: “I think it is really nice she will share her birthday with Kate’s baby. We are Royal Family fans.”
Cassandra, 23, and Daniel Parsloe, 26, are celebrating the arrival of their first-born, Harvey, who arrived at 9.01am, weighing 7lb 12oz.
Cassandra, from Chatham, said: “It is our first baby so we are over the moon. It’s very special that he is born on the same day as the royal baby. It’s something that’s not going to happen again for a long time. We’re very proud to have him.”
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s baby, Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge, was born at 4.24pm on Monday weighing 8lb 6oz. He is third in line to the throne after Prince Charles and Prince William.
Britain’s Royal Mint is giving UK babies born on the same day as the future monarch a suitably royal welcome by presenting them with a silver penny struck with the year of their birth.
