A man was caught dumping rubbish in the same week he appeared in court for a separate fly-tipping offence.
Matthew Towers, 35, of Forge Lane, Upchurch, was employed as a gardener and was paid £30 by a householder to remove rubbish from her home.
But instead of disposing of it at a council tip, Towers dumped the items near garages in Romany Road, Tywdall, in March.
Officers found among the waste evidence which led them to Towers.
He admitted he had dumped the rubbish and said he had intended to go back and dispose of it properly but had forgotten.
He admitted a charge of fly-tipping and a charge of having no waste carriers license and was fined £500 for each and ordered to pay court costs of £388.40.
The offences were carried out during the same week Towers was in court for a separate fly-tipping offence where he was fined £1,076.
In a separate case, Christopher Beard, 34, of Stuart Road, Gillingham, was sentenced to 200 hours community service and ordered to pay £505 costs after he admitted fly-tipping .
His dumped rubbish was found on a pathway between Ingram Road and Maple Avenue in Gillingham and it included a kitchen unit, worktop, cardboard, blinds and plastic wrapping.
During an interview with Medway Council officers, Beard admitted dumping the rubbish in December 2013 after being asked by a householder to remove it and said he had gone to a council tip to dispose of it but it was closed.
Both cases were heard at Medway Magistrates’ Court.
