England Women’s football player Lianne Sanderson has been meeting some of Medway’s future sporting superstars.

The 20-year-old Chelsea striker, who scored 40 goals in 41 games in one season while playing for Arsenal, coached 600 pupils taking part in multi-skills sports festivals.

Pupils were taught a range of individual physical skills including moving, co-ordination, aiming and balance.

Lianne said: “It has been an amazing event for kids to come out and get involved.

“I always wanted to be a footballer. I told the children to know what they want and don’t let anyone get in their way.“
