Forest submit Jarvis bid

GILLINGHAM have received an offer of £650,000 from Nottingham Forest for Matt Jarvis, but his agent has stopped any chance of a potential deal.

Forest chairman Nigel Doughty tabled the bid for Gillingham's star midfielder, who is out of contract at the end of the season, but Jarvis's agent Mark Curtis wasn't interested in taking negotiations any further.

Gills chairman Paul Scally said: "I can confirm that we have received an offer for Matt Jarvis from Forest for £650,000.

"However the player's agent has informed me that he will not be joining Nottingham Forest - the power of agents."
