A former secondary school is being sold with a guide price of £2.5 million.
The old St John Fisher School building and land in Maidstone Road, Chatham is being sold through Gerald Eve, after the school itself moved to City Way, Rochester, this spring.
The freehold includes the main school building, subject blocks, a playground, and playing fields on a site, extending to around 3.33 acres.
The building was attended by Year 7 and 8 pupils, while Year 9 and above attended the main building in Ordnance Street.
The Catholic school has now relocated to a single campus in Rochester.
The listing for the building and grounds says there is potential for redevelopment into residential, mixed use, care or retirement schemes, subject to planning consents.
Initially built as a private dwelling in 1901, the building has had several extensions and additions since the school was founded in 1964, including a sports hall, dining hall, science block, art and drama block, link building, and a newer two-storey teaching block built in the 1990s.
Among its former students are ballroom dancer and television presenter James Jordan, and retired footballer Jimmy Corbett, who played for Gillingham, Blackburn Rovers, Portsmouth and Southend United.
The site is within walking distance of amenities and transport connections including Chatham train station.
