Teenager allegedly assaulted, threatened with knife and phone stolen at Wombwell Park, Northfleet

A teenager was allegedly attacked in a park and threatened with a knife by four other teens.

The victim was in Wombwell Park, near Mitchell Avenue, Northfleet, when he says he was set upon.

It is alleged the teenage boy was assaulted and threatened with a knife, before his phone and a vape were stolen.

Four suspects, three aged 15 and one 16-year-old, were later arrested on suspicion of robbery but have since been bailed pending further investigation.

It is believed they were all known to the victim.

PC Charlene LeBorgne, of North Kent CID, said: “An investigation is under way into the circumstances and we are urging witnesses or anybody with information to call our appeal line.

“Residents with private CCTV in the vicinity of the park are also asked to check for relevant footage.”
