Dozens of people have turned out for the funeral of Bill Treeby - found dead in prison after being convicted of killing his Rainham brother.
The 50-year-old was discovered hanging in his cell two days after being found guilty of murdering Jack Treeby, a father-of-five, of Sunderland Road.
Forty-six vehicles, including two flatbed lorries filled with flowers, joined the cortege as it left St Andrew's Church, in Paddock Wood, just before 1pm on Friday.
The coffin was brought to the service in a white carriage, drawn by white horses. Floral tributes bore the words "Grandad" and "Forever in our hearts". Police closed roads and diverted traffic.
Bill Treeby was found dead in Elmley Prison on the Isle of Sheppey in December. An inquest into his death has been opened and adjourned.
His sons Billy Jnr and George were also convicted of murder and are now serving a minimum of 23 years in jail.
Bill Snr's wife Charity, 51, was cleared of murder but was found guilty of causing grievious bodily harm to Gary Treeby - another brother of Bill Snr and Jack.
