A large pile of rubbish including furniture has been dumped down a country lane.
It was spotted at around 6pm last night (September 9) in Pilgrims Road, Halling, but one resident claims it has been there for more than a week.
The rubbish included around 10 bin bags, as well as large pieces of furniture and what appears to be a roll of carpet.
Those who live in the area have taken to social media calling for CCTV to be installed in the road.
One person said it is a “constant” problem in the country lane, and pointed out that Cuxton Waste and Recycling Centre is just five minutes away.
A Medway Council spokesperson said: “Following a report this morning (September 10), we have been made aware of the fly-tipping in Pilgrims Road and our teams will be clearing the waste as soon as possible.
“Fly-tipping will not be tolerated in Medway, and we are committed to keeping our countryside and streets clean and safe.
“We encourage everyone to report all incidents of fly-tipping through our website.”
