New plans which could see a former office block become even more flats have been drawn up.
The latest application for the vacant NatWest building, in Chatham Maritime, is seeking permission to change the use of all three floors to create 68 apartments.
In August 2022, Medway Council approved proposals submitted by the bank to convert the office space into residential use.
The scheme was for 27 one-bedroom and 33 two-bedroom flats with allocated parking and cycle spaces.
Work did start on the site, in Maritime Way, next to Chatham Dockside, however, the new applicant has now submitted new proposals to add an extra eight units.
If approved, there would be 47 one-bedroom and 21 two-bedroom flats each with a living room, kitchen, bathroom and storage.
According to the submitted documents, the apartments will be rented privately and a property management company will be hired to oversee the site.
A decision is expected on the latest application by Friday, September 20.

The building, which was built in the 1990s, was used as a customer service centre for NatWest.
It has been empty since 2022 when the banking giant relocated.
