Gills boss Martin Allen has been putting the finishing touches to a pre-season schedule that will have plenty for fans and players alike to get excited about.
Allen (pictured) has been in contact with several Premier League clubs with regards to a pre-season game and one un-named Championship side is already pencilled in.
A return to Le Touquet has been booked for pre-season but a more relaxed visit to Benidorm is on the horizon as the Gills look to bow out in the Spanish sunshine.
Allen said: "We have a two-star hotel booked, probably one of the worst hotels in Benidorm, we have no food and we are booked on the worst flights we could get on."
That trip follows the end-of-season award ceremony at Priestfield Stadium on Sunday, April 28.
On their return, the Gills boss will meet with every member of the squad, including the coaching staff, for a de-brief. Those players who are out of contract will learn their fate during the meetings.
The senior players will then leave for their summer break before returning on June 26 for the start of pre-season training. Those in the youth and development squads will remain working hard until the end of May.
The first pre-season games are planned for June 29, against two local sides.
Allen added: "We (also) have a fixture agreed already against a Championship club but we are still awaiting confirmation on kick-off time and I have about three Premier League clubs coming back to me, with potential dates."
The first game in League 1 is on Saturday, August 3.
The Gills will also be heading for a week in France, during July, for some rigorous pre-season training. Allen said: "We won’t be playing any games. We are training three times a day for five days and then playing paint-balling if everyone completes it properly."
