Gillingham's play-off heroics failed to land the club with the cash windfall that supporters were expecting.
Club chairman Paul Scally has labelled the Football League’s financial distribution policy "a joke" after being left with only around £200,000 to show from their Wembley efforts.
Mr Scally was seething at the way the finances were split up.
"It was a frighteningly low amount and I was extremely disappointed," he said. "We made £208,000 out of Wembley and that’s all."
