GILLINGHAM are trying to tie up pre-season friendly fixtures with Bulgarian team CSKA Sofia and Premiership side Charlton.

Gills player-manager Andy Hessenthaler said: “Our away fixtures against non-league sides are confirmed and we are hopefully bringing CSKA Sofia to Priestfield on a Wednesday night.

“We’re also talking to Charlton. They would be two great warm-ups for the squad and would be the only two home fixtures.”

AWAY FIXTURES: Wednesday, July 7 v Folkestone Invicta (7.45pm KO), Saturday, July 17 v Farnborough (3pm), Monday, July 19 v Dagenham & Redbridge (7.45pm), Wednesday, July 21 v Dover (7.45pm), Saturday, July 24 v Gravesend & Northfleet (3pm), Tuesday, July 27 v Canvey Island (7.30pm).
