Gills fans are eagerly awaiting the League One fixture list which is published on Wednesday morning.

Supporters have been keen to see the list since their team won promotion in the dramatic League Two play-off final last month.

The fixtures are a mouthwatering prospect with Charlton Athletic, Southampton and Norwich City - all Premiership sides until recently - now in League One.

Playing near neighbours Charlton will be particularly enticing for the Gills and there will be other London derbies with Millwall, Leyton Orient and Brentford all in the mix.

Other teams to look out for include Leeds United and Tranmere Rovers, now managed by former England international John Barnes. The season begins on August 8.
