Despite the credit crunch, donations are still filtering through for the Giraffe Appeal.
Since the end of February, a further £2,353 has been handed over to the Oliver Fisher Special Care Baby Trust, which is trying to raise £25,000 to buy lifesaving equipment for premature babies on the unit at Medway Maritime Hospital.
It brings the total raised to £17,688. The trust hopes to meet its target by October this year.
In a bid to raise further funds, the trust is running an Easter colouring competition for three age categories: one- to three-year-olds, four- to six-year-olds and seven-to 10-year-olds.
The entry fee is 50p. Click above to lin through to the picture and entry form which you can print off. Once completed they must be sent to the trust at the address below.
Prizes up for grabs include Easter eggs, books and toys. The closing date is Tuesday, April 14. Winners will be notified by phone on Friday, April 17.
Anyone wishing to make a donation by cheque to the Giraffe Appeal is asked to mark on the back MM if they have read about the appeal in the Medway Messenger.
