Police are investigating after a young girl reported being chased by a suspicious man.

The 11-year-old said she was walking past Gillingham railway station when she noticed a man following her.

She began to run but when she reached Victoria Street, the man started chasing her.

She managed to get home safely following the incident, which happened shortly after 3.15pm on Monday.

Officers now want to speak to the man, who is between 5ft 7in and 5ft 9in and was wearing a dark jacket with the hood up.
