More than 40 schools took part in the Medway Mini Youth Games hockey tournament.
Each school played eight games during the competition, which was hosted by Holcombe Hockey Club, Rochester.
Three teams were unbeaten so the places came down to goal difference and it was the young players of St Mary’s Island Primary who came out on top. Miers Court Primary, Rainham, finished second with Lordswood Primary third.
The Pilgrim School, Borstal, took fourth place and was also the highest placed small school while the fair play award went to Warren Wood, Rochester.
Holcombe and Anchorians Hockey Club provided umpires for the day while Southern Water and Clancy Docwra also backed the event by providing volunteers.
The next Mini Youth Games is the badminton tournament at Medway Park, Gillingham, on Thursday, November 24.
