Boot fair fans can snap up a special deal this weekend.

John Greenfield, who has been running boot fairs in Medway for many years, will be back at Beechings Way, Gillingham, on Sunday with a discounted deal for those looking to sell items.

It usually costs £10 for each car, with vans a little more, but this Sunday, cars will pay just £8 and vans £10.

Gates open for both sellers and buyers at 5am every Sunday and usually wrap up about 1pm.

The discount deal is John’s way of thanking those loyal over the years.

His father Jack set up the business with friend Roy Green in 1982 and John took over when his dad died in 1999.

He said: “We’ve had a lot of support from local people who have come to us for a number of years.”
