Traffic chaos continues on the M2 as emergency bridge repairs enter their second day.
One lane of the London-bound carriageway near junction 2 for Strood is closed for repair works that started yesterday afternoon.
Kent Highways has warned drivers to expect delays in the area.
Yesterday saw three-mile queues of traffic backing up along the road, and this morning's rush-hour has seen a similar situation, as commuters experience delays.
The off-slip road at junction 2 for A228 Snodland and lane one of the main carriageway are closed while repairs are carried out. Lanes two and three remain open.
All of the closed lanes will be reopened as soon as it is safe to do so.
Repairs will take place overnight tonight, when a full closure will be required.
The repairs are due to be finished - and the road fully reopened - by tomorrow morning.
Additional traffic officer patrols and free recovery are in place to deal with any breakdowns.
During tonight's full closure, a clearly signed diversion will be in place.
