A 35-year old man has been found guilty of a £500,000 mortgage fraud.
Harvinder Basi of The Shades, Rochester, falsely represented his income to obtain a loan of £504,519.
Following a week-long trial, a jury of nine men and three women returned their guilty verdict after just 30 minutes.
Maidstone crown court heard that in May 2008 Basi applied for a re-mortgage of £504,519.
The jury was also told he denied completing the income section of the form, although he agreed he had signed that declaration.
He claimed a third party completed this section without his knowledge.
Judge Griffiths-Jones adjourned sentencing until a later date, yet to be confirmed.
