DO YOU recognise this man? Police would like a word with him following an armed robbery in Gillingham.
Detectives investigating the crime which happened on Wednesday, May 27, in Watling Street, have released this CCTV image of a man who entered the NatWest bank with a gun and demanded money from staff.
He is thought to be between 20 and 30, of slim build between 5ft 7in and 5ft 11in and was wearing a dark woollen hat with a peak, a dark scarf over his face and had on a dark long sleeved coat which had white stripes down each arm.
He was also wearing dark trousers and white trainers.
A spokesman for Medway Police said: “A man entered the bank at about 2.30pm and demanded money from staff.
“He left the bank and turned right onto Watling Street and then he turned right onto Derby Road and then left into an alleyway.
“While in the alleyway he picked up a mountain bike and continued onto Osprey Avenue.
“A firearm was used to cause intimidation and make demands but it was not discharged.
“Detectives are unable to confirm whether or not this was a real or imitation weapon.”
