Police revealed this morning a missing pensioner from Gillingham has been found safe and well.

Officers had issued an appeal for information into the whereabouts of Benjamin Woods.

The 68-year-old had last been seen in Gillingham, at around 4pm on Thursday, October 22.

This morning, a spokeswoman for police in Medway said: "Thank you for your assistance in running the missing person appeal for Medway man, Benjamin Woods.

"He was located on Friday evening, October 23."
