Witnesses are being sought after a distinctive jacket was stolen from a car on St Mary's Island.

The jacket, with a Rochester football league badge on the left-hand side, was taken from a Toyota in Sandling Way.

Worth about £50, it is described as waterproof, black and with white piping. Very few similar jackets are said to exist.

Police have only just released details of the theft, which took place between midnight on January 12 and 8am on January 13.

Witnesses or anyone who has seen someone else with the jacket is asked to phone police on 01622 690690.
