Police appeal after bag snatch in Gillingham High Street

A woman had her handbag snatched by a man as she walked along a high street in the early hours.

Police are appealing for information following the robbery in which the woman fell to the ground and suffered minor injuries.

The incident happened at about 2am on Sunday, October 13, as she was walking along the Gillingham High Street in the direction of Chatham.

As she approached the junction with Marlborough Road, she became aware of two men who were stood nearby. One of them snatched her bag.

Both men ran towards Britton Street and then Jeffrey Street.
