Holcombe were held to a second successive draw on Sunday in the England Hockey League Men’s Conference East.

David Mathews (pictured) got Holcombe’s goal in the 1-1 draw with second from bottom Indian Gymkhana.

The draw follows last week’s goalless match against fellow strugglers Bromley and Beckenham.

Those dropped points leave Holcombe well off the pace at the top. They sit fourth but are 12 points behind leaders Canterbury.

Gymkhana had taken the lead in Sunday’s match early on but Mathews quickly levelled from a penalty corner.
