Part of a holiday park was taped off by police after a woman reported being raped.

Witnesses said a caravan at Allhalllows Leisure Park was cordoned off on Sunday. Officers remained at the site yesterday and a forensic team was there examining the scene.

Kent Police has now confirmed they have received a report of a rape, which is believed to have happened during the morning of Saturday, October 14.

A 26-year-old man from the Welling area has since been arrested and released pending further enquiries.

A police spokesman said the man arrested is believed to be known to the victim.
