Kawsor Ahmed, of no fixed address, charged with burglary after two businesses in The Tideway, Rochester, and Luton Road, Chatham, were broken into

A homeless man has been charged after two businesses in the Towns were broken into.

Officers arrested and charged Kawsor Ahmed, 36, of no fixed address, on suspicion burglary, yesterday.

The first count relates to a reported burglary at a business in The Tideway, Rochester, between Sunday, June 19, and Monday, June 20.

It was reported cash and a number of items were taken.

The second charge relates to a reported burglary at a business in Luton Road, Chatham, on Sunday, July 3, where cash is alleged to have been stolen.

He appeared by virtual court at Medway Magistrates Court earlier today and was remanded in custody until Wednesday, August 10.
