A hospital boss has agreed to take part in a two hour grilling which be broadcast live on air tonight.

Chief executive of Medway Maritime Hospital, James Devine, will be answering questions during a one-off radio show.

The two hour session will be broadcast live on Hospital Radio Medway.

Questions have been submitted by patients, hospital staff and a live audience will be invited to put in their queries during the show, which airs at 8pm.

Mr Devine said: “Hospital Radio Medway has been providing comfort and entertainment to our patients for nearly 50 years and is a much-loved and essential part of our hospital.”

“I’m absolutely delighted to be taking part in the live show and to be in the ‘hot seat’ answering questions from our patients, staff and community.

"I’ll also be sharing my favourite songs with listeners; I’m not sure which part will be the most nerve-wrecking.”

Presenter Shannon Griffin added: “I'm thrilled to be hosting what is sure to be a lively and informative Q&A with James.

"In addition to getting questions answered, I’m looking forward to finding out a bit more about the man behind the title.”

The show airs from 8pm to 10pm from the main entrance of the hospital in Windmill Road, Gillingham.

Members of the public are invited to join the live audience or submit questions in advance.
