Fire crews were called to a house fire which is thought to have been started by a candle.

Three fire crews were called to a property in Albert Road, Chatham at 11.30pm last night.

Thick smoke and flames were coming out of the first floor window, and firefighters wearing breathing gear used a hose reel to tackle the blaze.

No casualties were reported.
