Police had carried out a search on May 31 with around four or five vehicles spotted arriving around 8pm.

One neighbour said they saw several officers go around the side of the property and knock a fence down.

Throughout that weekend a police car was parked outside overnight and on June 1 a forensic team reportedly arrived.

A neighbour said: “They were going around with a torch during the night. I wondered what they were doing.”

They added that they were concerned squatters might take up residence as they believe the home is empty.
