A new rock climbing centre is set to open this evening.
Chimera Climbing will be having its grand opening at Pier 5, Chatham Quays, near Chatham Dockside Shopping Outlet, at 6pm.
It is replacing Flip Out trampoline park, which closed suddenly in February.
Bosses have said the Chatham location is the company’s “biggest wall yet” and its first with an outdoor boulder facility.
The climbing centre caters for different ages and abilities, and children aged over five can have a go with kid’s parties available to book too.
Customers are being encouraged to use the Pier 5 underground car park.
They will be entitled to two hours of free parking per visit, or four hours if they are Chimera Green Card members.
Parking needs to be validated at the reception upon arrival.
Chimera is running a competition this evening with a £250 cash prize.
Those who climb the Gold Bloc will need to record their full ascent and tag the company on social media, or send them a DM with a link to it on YouTube.
The first person to send the video will win the prize.
A spokesperson for Chimera said: “We’re so excited to bring you the best walls with the best views and the best blocs.
“Special shoutout to everyone that made this centre possible and all our guest setters.”
