More than a thousand homes in the Chatham area were affected by a power cut this morning.

UK Power Networks engineers were called just after 9am to locate and fix an outage thought to have been caused by faulty underground cable.,

All power is now back to the homes affected earlier.

A spokesman, said: “We are sorry for any trouble this may have caused you.”
