Hundreds of people arrived at the new MidKent College site for a free one-day festival.
The Access All Areas event on Friday, August 28, was open to everyone, but it was particularly popular with the youngsters.
It featured a live performance by MOBO award-winning rapper Chipmunk and Mancunian indie-ska collective Kid British.
Local acts Underground Heroes, Tyrannosaurus Alan, Phoebe Peek and Jordan Parkinson also performed and a dance area, hosted by international dance label Toolroom Records, showcased the talents of Drum ’n’ Bass legend Cyantific and Toolroom Knights resident DJs Mark Storie and Pete Griffiths.
Visitors also had a tour of the new campus based in Medway Road, Gillingham, and the chance to find out about options for their future by taking part in a range of department demonstrations, visiting information stalls or receiving some impartial careers advice.
Stephen Grix, principal and chief executive for MidKent College, said: “We closed the Horsted and City Way sites and moved everyone over to here but this is the first time students have been able to see where they’re going to be studying."
