A shop worker was attacked during a robbery by a group of men.
Detectives investigating the attack in Strood have arrested three men and appealed to identify a fourth man.
They believe he holds important information about what happened.
Following an earlier appeal in which officers released an image, they now believe they have secured information to progress the investigation.
No new arrests have been made.
Officers from the Chief Constable's Crime Squad were called after a group of men reportedly assaulted an employee in Darnley Road, Strood at about 7.30pm on March 8.
Three men, aged 24, 30 and 36, have already been arrested in connection with the incident.
They are from the Greater Manchester and Birmingham areas and were released under investigation.
A review of forensic evidence and CCTV, discussions with witnesses has led police to releasing the image of the man to assist with their inquiries.
