The best of the best have been honoured at this year’s Medway Business Awards.
The 2024 awards were hosted by kmfm’s Nicola Everett at The Corn Exchange in Rochester.
The event celebrates businesses across the Towns for their hard work and resilience.
The awards were sponsored by Furley Page, Kreston Reeves, Craven Street Wealth, Uniper, VBH GB, MidKent College, GrainLNG, University of Greenwich, and Medway Council.
Susan Jennings, head judge, partner, and head of corporate at Furley Page, said: “The Medway Business Awards seeks to highlight and celebrate innovative businesses, committed to their workforce and its development, strive to provide an excellent product and/or service and make a difference in their community and sector.
“Thank you to all the finalists and individuals for taking the time to meet us during the judging visits.
“This process reminds me that Medway has many talented people and hidden gems that need to be shouted about.”
The winners of Large Business of the Year were Hectic Lifestyles (trading as NutraDirect), while Small Business of the Year went to Frost Solutions.
Managing director and co-owner Charley Frost said: “Thank you for hosting such a wonderful night. It was an amazing feeling to hear our name being read out.
“It made me extremely proud of the hard work and effort my team has put into elevating the business over the last few years. It was a night to remember."
Trusted Contractor went to Primech Building Services Ltd. The business said in a statement: “We’re thrilled and overwhelmingly proud. As a team, we’ve worked extremely hard to prove our commitment to the quality and trust of our clients.
“This is a reflection of the values, hard work, and commitment that define who we are. To be acknowledged for trust—one of the most profound values—is truly humbling as a company.
“This award belongs to every member of our team who has poured their passion, expertise, and integrity into our success.
“Our dedication to the local community is ever-present and will long continue.”
Team of the Year went to AAA Building and Civil Engineers Ltd, Sustainability Star was Oscar Acoustics.
Kelsey Pegg, of Hectic Lifestyles (trading as NutraDirect), was named Unsung Hero while the Rising Star award went to James Armstrong of Guscott Heating Services.
James Armstrong said: "Winning the Unsung Hero Award is a huge personal honour for me however, I wouldn’t have achieved it without the incredible support from the whole team at Guscott Heating Services.
“The dedication of my colleagues, our amazing suppliers, and the customers I get to interact with daily make this a fantastic place to work."
Other finalists at the ceremony on Friday, November 22, included Combat Sports Academy Ltd, Guscott Heating Services, Dragon Co-working, Actionpoint Packaging, Premier Recruitment Group, County Enforcement and H.E. Services and Plant Hire.
