Construction work at a new multi-million pound secondary school in Medway has been completed.
Leigh Academy Rainham is set to welcome pupils in just a few weeks and as the three-storey building was officially handed over to the education trust, it revealed a series of pictures offering a sneak peak inside.
The photos show a modern dining hall with rows of white tables and benches, design and technology workshops, kitchen classrooms and dance studios.
Outside there are sports courts, cycle racks and electric car charging points in the car park.
A spokesman for the school off Otterham Quay Lane, said: "Over the next few weeks the Leigh Academies Trust IT Development team will begin installing all the necessary digital and communication systems ready for teaching in September."
Plans were approved for the academy in January 2020 after the Department of Education has identified the need for two more schools in the Medway area.
It will be the only mixed-sex non-selective comprehensive in the area, as other schools in Rainham are single-sex.
Each year group will consist of 180 pupils with the first Year 7s due to start in September.
The uniform will include a grey blazer with coloured braiding around the lapel with matching tie, black trousers and skirts plus a branded school bag.
Each pupil will be given a Chrome Book which will be used in lessons and also for homework.
Leigh Academies Trust was founded in 2008 and the school in Rainham is the 12th secondary they will run alongside 14 primaries and two special school.
