The controversy continues in the wake of the chaos at Medway Maritime Hospital's A&E department over Christmas.

Three health bosses, incuding Andrew Horne the chief executive of the Medway NHS Foundation Trust, which runs the hospital, have been summoned to appear before councillors.

A special committee will be discussing the

high demands on the hospital and asking what steps are being taken to avoid a repetition.
