This man is being hunted after an alleged child snatch bid at a Gillingham park.

Police today released the efit after a man approached a mother with a child in a pushchair at the Great Lines Heritage Park.

He is said to have taken hold of the pushchair and told the woman to 'let go'.

The mother kept her grip and shouted at the man, who ran away at around 7pm on Friday.

Kent Police said the child was uninjured and officers are treating it as an "isolated incident".

The force said it is unclear what the man's intention was, but police want to trace him for questioning.

He is described as having pale skin, with a droopy nose and a lazy left eye. The man is thought to have a rash on his neck and was wearing a white T-shirt and black leather jacket.

Comments on social media site Facebook have claimed it was the third attempted abduction in the area in the last week, but Kent Police said they have not received any reports of similar incidents.
