Invicta Dynamos head coach Kevin Parrish has completed his roster for the new season by re-signing captain Andy Smith and bringing promising forward Nathaniel Rose to the club.
Since joining Dynamos in 2004, Smith, pictured, has become the club’s talisman and all-time leading scorer, bagging 400 goals and adding 363 assists.
Parrish, who confirmed that the 27-year-old would retain the team captaincy, said: "We may have announced Andy’s re-signing last but as a coach, he is always the first name you want to pin down for another season when the campaign draws to a close.
"Every year when he pens a new deal we describe him as a major capture, a top player in this league, and it’s a credit to his attitude and ability that we are still saying the same thing nine years into his time in Gillingham."
Parrish is also pleased about having persuaded Rose to join Dynamos from NIHL North Division 2 Sutton Sting, for whom he made 10 appearances last season, scoring eight goals.
Parrish added: "Nathaniel is a big, strong unit who can hit like a freight train but he also has the skill to be a top forward in this league."
Parrish has also signed three promising youngsters in Harrison Lillis, Joe Bliss and Sam Cheema.
