Kevin Parrish has warned his Invicta Dynamos side to be wary of complacency ahead of Sunday’s clash with Milton Keynes Thunder.
The Dynamos enjoyed a week without a game and Parrish rewarded his players with a few days off but coach Parrish wants his side to pick up where they left off come Sunday.
He said: "It’s a busy schedule and I felt the players deserved a break. It’s been non-stop for weeks and there’s been a few double headers as well, so they’ve more than earned it.
"They’ve had a few days off and they’ll come back refreshed but there’s no room to be complacent. Milton Keynes is a ‘banana skin’ game if ever there was one and if we’re not on our game, it’d be easy to slip up."
Despite the impressive start to the season, with the Mos sitting second after losing just one of 14 ENIHL Division 1 South league games, Parrish is refusing to get too carried away.
He said: "We’re winning games and haven’t lost for a long while but we’re not perfect by far. I’m still on the lookout for players who can strengthen our squad as there are a couple of areas we’re not as good as we could be in."
Face-off at Planet Ice Milton Keynes on Sunday is at 6.30pm.
