Invicta Dynamos head into a make-or-break weekend in their quest to win ENIHL Division 1 South as they face both their challengers for the title.
On Saturday night Mos face a daunting trip to third-placed Cardiff Devils, who lie nine points behind though they do have a game in hand.
Dynamos then face a quick turnaround as they welcome second-placed Chelmsford Chieftains to Gillingham Ice Bowl at 5.15pm on Sunday.
The Essex side are only seven points behind the Mos, although they have played a game more but were within seconds of beating Invicta in Gillingham just three weeks ago.
Kevin Parrish’s side despatched Cardiff 7-2 in their only previous meeting, at home in October.
Mos warmed-up for the double-header with their second 8-4 win over Wightlink Raiders this season at Gillingham on Sunday.
A hat-trick in a man-of-the- match performance from Andy Smith, pictured, four goals from in-form Nolan Boike and another from Peter Vaisanen sealed the win.
Raiders had taken a 3-1 lead – with all three goals coming in a single powerplay – but the home side responded strongly to seal the points.
