Invicta Dynamos head coach Kevin Parrish has signed his sixth forward ahead of the new season after the return of Welsh forward Nicky Lewis.
The 23-year-old has previously spent one and a half seasons icing for the Mos, with 63 appearances, 51 goals and 38 assists to his name.
He joined the club in 2009 after a spell in Canada but moved on to play for EPL side Sheffield Steeldogs before a swift return to Gillingham during the 2010/11 season.
Lewis (pictured) is the 10th player to sign ahead of the new campaign with Wightlink Raiders’ duo Richard Bentham and Robbie Brown joining the club and three more new signings expected this week.
Parrish said: "Nicky had a tough time last term after things didn’t really work out in Sheffield and he came back to us low in confidence which tended to show a little during the regular season.
"He found his form in both the latter stages and the playoffs however, and started to demonstrate what he is really capable of and I have no doubt that that’s the player who will be returning to us for the new campaign.”
He added: "When Nicky is on form he unquestionably has all the tools to be one of the best in the league.
"He has pace, skill and an attitude that means he won’t quit and I think he’ll be a key figure for us as we go chasing the league title from September.
"On top of this he is a character and the sort of person any coach would be delighted to have in their squad during a long and testing hockey season.”
