Invicta Dynamos head coach Kevin Parrish has described Sunday’s top-of-the-table clash against league leaders Wightlink Raiders as "the biggest game of the season so far."

The meeting at the Silver Blades Ice Rink, Gillingham is expected to go some way in deciding the outcome of the ENIHL Division 1 South title race, as the division’s top-two are set to battle it out.

With three games in hand on their rivals, the Mos will go into the meeting with a slight advantage but Parrish insists the game is a pivotal moment of the season to date.

Parrish said: "It’s a massive game and in some ways it’s a four pointer as it is a chance for us to take points off of the leaders Wightlink.

"I don’t think it’s going to be the most skilful game but it will be nip and tuck I’m sure.

"We shouldn’t have any problem getting the players motivated and if a player can’t get motivated for this then they shouldn’t be playing. Training has been good this week and the players are in good mood."

Wightlink have built a six-point lead over the Mos at the top of ENIHL Division 1 South but the Mos increased their title hopes by picking up back-to-back wins against Cardiff ENL Devils and Bristol Pitbulls last weekend.

Dynamos began the weekend with a 4-3 victory in Wales on Saturday before winning 8-3 at Bristol 24 hours later.

Parrish added: "I don’t think we have ever slipped out of the title race this season but there are probably four teams who could win it this year, so it is going to be interesting."

Defenceman Tim Smith should be available for Sunday’s clash but fellow defender Anthony Lennon is likely to miss out through injury.
